All hoichoi Web Series, Short Films, Original Movies have subtitles. In addition to this, more than 200 movies currently have subtitles.

We are also working on adding subtitles to the rest of the content.

Each location provides you with two plans. The INR 599/BDT 500/International monthly plans allow you with 1 simultaneous stream. The INR 899/BDT 700/International yearly plans allow you with 2 simultaneous streams.

A new show releases on hoichoi every month. All conditions favourable, we also release a second and/or third new show within the same month. Apart from this, we release Short movies, Original hoichoi Films, World Digital Premiers on a regular basis.

There is usually a gap of three months between the theatrical release and digital release of a movie. This timeframe, however, depends on several factors, and can differ from movie to movie.

Few content has been restricted viewing from certain locations due to geographical restrictions.

For the iOS app, payments directly get routed via the iTunes account.

However, if you want to pay using any other payment method, you can use the URL "www.hoichoi.tv/viewplans" and subscribe from any browser.

Payments are not device specific. Notwithstanding whichever compatible device you subscribe from, you would be able to access the contents from the other compatible devices using the same subscribed login method.

For Windows, we do do not have any specific app which can be downloaded.

However, from any browser of your Windows device you can access hoichoi by logging in using URL www.hoichoi.tv

Hoichoi is now available as an App in the Tizen based Samsung Smart TVs (manufactured between 2017 and 2019).

You can launch the App in your compatible Samsung TV device using the following method:

Enter your email ID and password if your login method is the native one or click on "activate device" if your subscription is synced with your Google/Facebook account

From your phone or desktop browser login to your account using LOGIN WITH GOOGLE/FACEBOOK and go to settings to enter the code

Your TV device is now synchronized and you can access the premium contents.

This situation could occur if the site you are trying to access is somehow blocked by your internet provider.

However, try rebooting your router once, and in case it still doesn't help, please contact your ISP.

If you are using any of our compatible TV app and getting the error message saying "We are having trouble connecting to hoichoi, please try again" while playing a content, please uninstall the app from your TV device and re-install it again.

After re-install and re-login, if you continue to get the error, please initiate a chat with us and we'd look into the same.

We do not have a separate "continue watching" tray for the TV app. Instead, you would be able to click on "history" and resume playing a content from where it was last left at.

There are two ways of uninstalling an App from your Android TV device

1. Click on "apps" --> choose "hoichoi" --> long press the center button of your Android TV remote---> Click on "uninstall"

OR

2. Open "Google Playstore" --> Go to "my apps" and scroll searching for hoichoi or type "hoichoi" and search --> Click on "uninstall"

You would get this error when clicking on "reset password" from your password recovery mail, if already an hour has passed after the mail was received.

As the password reset token stays valid for an hour only, in case you get this error, you would need to regenerate a fresh password recovery mail.

To do so, click on LOGIN WITH EMAIL (if you are using the Android app) or "login with email and password" (if you are using the iOS app or website) followed by "forgot password", where you can type your email ID and submit to get the mail.

There might be times when there would be a delay in receiving the OTP. This normally happens due to the network issues of the telecom service being used.

If you are facing such an issue, you may try switching on the Airplane mode and switching it off again.

Also, if you do not have any number already registered, you can try with a different number or if the number is already registered and you are not being able to login with OTP, you may login with your email ID and password for the time being.

Subscription plans offered by hoichoi are based on extensive market research in each of the countries where hoichoi is available, and are the most economic plans available in their respective regions.

hoichoi is an Ad Free service, and does not stream ads with any of its content.

Yes, you can download the content available on hoichoi and watch it offline.

Content downloaded from hoichoi will be available to you unless your subscription is interrupted / discontinued. Also, downloaded content that has not been viewed for 30 days will automatically be deleted.

No. Content downloaded from hoichoi can only be viewed within the app and will not be available for viewing using any other external source.

Music Streaming is available on the hoichoi Android and iOS App

Canceling a subscription does not process any refund. It deactivates any further Auto-Renewal. As hoichoi does not process refunds, you would still have access to content until your current subscription period lapses.

You need to be logged out for resetting the password.

To add a movie, show or music video to Watch List, on the movie, show, music video details page, click on the "Add to Watch List" option. You can add a maximum of 25 movies / shows / music videos to your Watch List. To view your complete Watch List, click on "Menu".

In the app-

1. Log in to hoichoi app

2. Click on the video you wish to watch.

3. Once the video starts streaming you will find a "Settings" symbol at the bottom right corner. Click on that.

4. You will find an option "Closed Captions", then click on English.


In the Website-

1. Log in to the website

2. Click on the video you wish to watch

3. Once the video starts streaming please click on the CC option which is there on the bottom right of the screen followed by "English"

This will enable the subtitles.

The option to download content is available only within the hoichoi App. Contents cannot be downloaded from the website.

Hoichoi is a Bengali OTT platform which has English subtitles for all it's originals and most of it's movies.

We also have dubbed Hindi contents for some of our originals.

Therefore, upon subscription, you can access any of these, however, we cannot offer you with a refund.

Our terms of service has the refund policy mentioned which states that Hoichoi is a non refundable service. The same was accepted prior to making of the purchase.

Hoichoi allows you to manually change the resolution while watching a content upto 1080P

Hence while you can watch it in "auto" mode, which would auto adjust the resolution depending on the internet speed, you can also manually change the resolution as you please.

If your data is limited and you are looking out for economic consumption, you can then manually change the resolution to a lesser one than currently being used for lesser data consumption.

This situation usually arises if you are using Mira-cast or any other casting mechanism that Hoichoi doesn't support.

However, if you are using an inbuilt Google chrome-cast or the external Google chrome-cast device and getting the error, then please initiate a chat with us and we'd look into the same.

Now controlling the keyboard while playing a content from your desktop/laptop has become much easier with the shortcut keys:

Space-bar for pause/play

M for mute/unmute

Left and right arrow for rewind and forward

F for full screen

Downloaded contents might fail to play after a few days if the source file gets deleted. Under such circumstances, you wouldn't be able to play those specific contents either online or offline.

However, once you remove those files from the "downloads" section of your app, you would be able to resume playing them online again.

This is an error that you'd get if you try streaming from more number of simultaneous streams allowed against your subscription.

For example: You are using an INR 599 plan which allows you a single simultaneous stream, you would receive this error if you try to play from any 2 devices at a time.

NOTE: You can check the permitted details against your subscription by logging in from any website using URL www.hoichoi.tv followed by settings.

Changing a password doesn't get you auto logged out from all the registered devices.

You would need to de-link the devices from the device management section of your account. To do this, login to your account from any browser using URL www.hoichoi.tv and go to settings. Here you'd be able to see the details of the devices that are logged in. Remove the devices to have them auto logged out within 24 hours.
